Director of Finance

Here’s What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our growing team. This strategic role is responsible for the company’s financial direction, financial performance management, as well as relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and financial partners.

This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the company’s strategy and growth by leading financial operations, risk management, financing initiatives, and the continuous improvement of financial practices.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team;
  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and the executive committee;
  • Oversee relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and financial partners;
  • Manage cash flow, financing activities, and financial obligations;
  • Supervise financial statements, audits, and regulatory reporting;
  • Lead the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and performance analysis;
  • Optimize internal controls, financial processes, and reporting tools;
  • Participate in strategic projects, financing activities, and growth initiatives;
  • Mentor and support the Controller and FP&A Manager.

What We’re Looking For

  • CPA designation required;
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role;
  • Strong experience with external audits, corporate taxation, and lender relationship management;
  • Solid understanding of financing structures, banking covenants, and debt management;
  • Ability to present financial results and strategic recommendations to leadership and investors;
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards and Canadian taxation;
  • Proven leadership in managing, developing, and engaging finance teams;
  • Experience in fintech, lending, financial services, or structured financing is considered an asset.
