Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Here's what we're looking for

We are looking for a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to provide essential support to the legal department, ensuring compliance, managing documentation, and maintaining the quality of legal and corporate communications. You will work closely with our legal and operational teams, playing a key role in daily activities.

We are seeking a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. As the main point of contact, you will need to demonstrate diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Your daily responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure processes remain compliant and up to date;
  • Manage the archiving and security of legal and confidential documents, tracking contract versions;
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address legal needs and coordinate with external partners;
  • Participate in legal projects, the development of compliance guides, and the improvement of document management practices;
  • Draft, review, and edit various documents and correspondence, such as emails, contracts, resolutions, agendas, letters, and meeting minutes;
  • Organize meetings, manage departmental communications, and prepare necessary documentation;
  • Conduct legal research and compliance analysis to support team initiatives;
  • Contribute to corporate matters, including governance, financial product development, and support for various legal files;
  • Update documentation by managing contract templates and internal policies to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Your skills and experience

  • Degree in legal studies, administration, or equivalent experience in legal support;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative or legal support, preferably within a legal department;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail and compliance standards;
  • Proficiency in document management and archiving, ensuring confidentiality and version tracking;
  • Skills in project management and optimization of internal processes;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;
  • Advanced proficiency with office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management practices.
