Marketing Automation Specialist

Here's what we're looking for

We're seeking an Email & SMS Marketing Automation Specialist with a track record in creating high-impact campaigns. You'll manage our email marketing program and communication tools, and collaborate with marketing professionals to improve the customer experience. Your optimization of customer interactions, including email, will significantly boost customer acquisition, growth, and retention.

Your daily responsibilities

  • Creating targeted messaging for diverse customer segments across email, SMS, and push notification campaign;.
  • Developing personalized welcome series and workflows for new/current subscribers;
  • Utilizing data analysis to continuously improve segmentation, welcome series, and workflows, boosting engagement and conversion rates;
  • Develop and refine marketing strategies across multiple channels, including email, SMS, and browser notifications;
  • Propose innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience through multi-channel campaigns;
  • Identify opportunities for personalized, automated marketing strategies and new segmentation tactics;
  • Assess and enhance the performance and ROI of email campaigns;
  • Regularly report findings and recommendations to senior management;
  • Use database management to target customers based on behavior and demographics;
  • Continuously improve email content, subject lines, and target audiences to increase engagement and conversion rates;
  • Experiment with new technologies to personalize customer journeys;
  • Oversee timely execution of email campaigns, including planning, design, copywriting, and obtaining approvals;
  • Ensure marketing messages comply with industry standards;
  • Discover opportunities to increase customer value and engagement;
  • Manage campaigns on a daily basis, optimizing customer segmentation and email strategies;
  • Support the executive team in refining our email marketing program;
  • Lead campaign development efforts, coordinating with marketing, product managers, analytics, developers, and external vendors;
  • Take responsibility for campaign results by analyzing email performance, sharing insights across teams, and leveraging findings for future campaigns;
  • Prioritize customer-centricity in managing transactional campaigns;
  • Collaborate with teams to design and execute A/B tests for campaigns, aiming to enhance customer experience;
  • Develop behavior- and event-triggered emails featuring dynamic content;
  • Work alongside the marketing team and others to generate effective campaign materials;
  • Coordinate with different departments and agencies in the campaign development process.

Your skills and experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in planning and executing automated email campaigns;
  • Demonstrated success in creating, implementing, and optimizing email campaigns to achieve business objectives;
  • A proven history of contributing to net revenue increases for companies;
  • Skilled in designing and building email marketing campaigns, including nurture programs;
  • Analytical and data-driven, with proficiency in tracking performance and optimizing metrics to meet sales targets;
  • Knowledgeable about various data sets and understanding data infrastructure;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Experienced with HTML and content management tools;
  • Detail-oriented, possessing strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent in written, verbal, and presentation communication;
  • Experienced in A/B testing, control groups, holdouts, and multivariate testing;
  • Familiar with email marketing best practices, including list segmentation, subject line optimization, campaign tracking, deliverability, and compliance with CAN-SPAM/anti-spam laws;
  • Good understanding of Customer data platforms (CDPs) to provide actionable insights to fuel campaigns;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Outbound marketing - building databases, cold email marketing, traditional marketing that leads to website conversion;
  • Related experience with marketing technology platforms like Adobe, Tealium, CleverTap or Braze is a strong plus.
